QUITO+MIDDLE OF THE WORLD – PICHINCHA
We start to the north of the city with a touristic route along the most important commercial areas, where many of Quito’s hotels are located. Then we go to the Historical Center to visit the Church of the Basilica of the National Vote, where we will make a brief stop and explanation, to later reach the Plaza de la Independencia, where through a pedestrian route you can see the Cathedral, the Palace of Government, the Archbishop’s Palace and the Church of La Compañía, recognized for its impressive ornaments and gold altars, will continue until the Church of San Francisco built in the seventeenth century. (Entrances to churches are not included). We then go to the Mirador del Panecillo, a place recognized for its beauty, where you can admire a beautiful landscape of colonial and modern Quito.
We will make a stop in the pink area of the city, about an hour and a half to have free time for lunch (not included) and then continue north, we will reach the Middle of the World, where you can see the monument that divides the northern hemisphere of the southern hemisphere of the planet. It was built in the eighteenth century where the French scientific expedition defined the exact position of the line Ecuador that divides the world. Includes entrance to the complex of the Middle of the World where you can enjoy the cultural experience of the attractions of this privileged place.
